Automotive Dismantler
IQM Auto Parts is hiring a full-time Automotive Dismantler for our Brooks, Alberta location.
We are looking for someone reliable, hardworking, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working around vehicles and heavy parts.
Responsibilities:
* Dismantle cars, trucks, and SUVs * Remove engines, transmissions, differentials, suspension, body parts, interiors, and other automotive components * Operate a forklift to move vehicles, engines, transmissions, and parts * Drain vehicle fluids and prepare vehicles for dismantling * Tag, organize, and store removed parts * Remove parts carefully to avoid unnecessary damage * Keep the dismantling area clean, organized, and safe * Follow daily dismantling and production priorities
Requirements:
* Automotive or mechanical experience preferred * Forklift experience * Auto recycling or dismantling experience is an asset * Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and air tools * Able to identify common automotive components * Physically capable of lifting and handling automotive parts * Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently * Able to work outdoors when required
Position Details:
* Full-time * Approximately 40 hours per week * Monday to Friday * Pay: $17?$24 per hour * Starting wage depends on experience and ability
Experience working in an auto recycling yard, mechanic shop, salvage yard, or similar environment is a strong asset.
