*Position Overview*
We are looking for a reliable, friendly, and detail-oriented *Part-Time Cashier* to join our team. As a cashier, you will handle customer transactions, answer questions, and ensure our guests experience a fast and pleasant checkout.
* *Status:* Part-Time (approx. 15?24 hours per week) * *Requirement:* Must have open availability to work *Saturdays and Sundays*
*Key Responsibilities*
* *Customer Service:* Greet every customer with a smile, scan items efficiently, and accurately process payments (cash, debit, credit, and gift cards). * *Front-End Maintenance:* Keep the checkout lanes, conveyor belts, and shopping cart bays clean, organized, and properly stocked with bags and supplies. * *Product Knowledge:* Familiarize yourself with in-store promotions, weekly flyers, and produce codes (PLU numbers) to ensure accurate ringing. * *Basic Merchandising:* Assist with front-end stocking, facing shelves near the registers, and returning misplaced items to the shelves. * *Teamwork:* Work collaboratively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to keep front-end lines moving smoothly.
*Qualifications & Skills*
* *Availability:* Must be consistently available to work *weekends* (both Saturdays and Sundays). * *Experience:* Previous retail or cashier experience is an asset, but we are happy to train anyone with the right attitude! * *Skills:* Strong basic math skills and comfort operating a computerized Point of Sale (POS) system. * *Communication:* Excellent interpersonal skills with a patient, friendly, and helpful demeanour. * *Physical Demands:* Ability to stand for the duration of a shift and safely lift up to 25 lbs (e.g., grocery bags, cases of water).
