Burnt Toast Cafe is looking for *reliable and hardworking Kitchen Helper* to join our team in Whitehorse.
This position is primarily focused on supporting our busy breakfast and lunch service. *Early morning availability is required.*
Responsibilities
* Prepare breakfast items such as eggs, toast, hash browns, pancakes, sandwiches, and other simple food items * Assist with general food preparation and portioning * Package food for take-out orders * Stock and restock ingredients and kitchen supplies * Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and kitchen equipment * Clean and sanitize kitchen workstations and equipment * Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and dining area * Follow food safety and sanitation procedures * Assist cooks and other kitchen staff as required
Requirements
* Minimum *1 year of experience in breakfast cooking, food preparation, or a similar kitchen position* * Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques * Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment * Must be available for *early morning shifts* * Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team * Food Handler Certificate is an asset; employer can support obtaining certification if required * Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
