Position: Assistant Director Position Reports To: SVDC Executive DirectorCommitment: Full Time. Full time is 30+ hours/week Center Hours of Operation: Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 5:00pm. SVDC is closed on all statutory holidays, which are paid days. Position Reports To: SVDC Executive Director Daycare Center Location: 2 Souris Ave. Oungre, SK S0C 1Z0 Base Wage: $24.12/hour, please Wage Top Up*Wage top ups are not guaranteed and are offered based on the availability of the Ministry Wage Enhancement Grant. Start Date: Immediate Required Conditions of Employment: Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check (dated within the last 6 monthsValid First Aid and CPR Level C Certification ECE I, II or III Certification that is valid in Saskatchewan18 years of age or older and legally entitled to work in Canada Duties and Responsibilities of the role, including but not limited to: Assisting the SVDC Executive Director as required with daily operations of the centerFostering a positive environment by responding to the needs of each child, utilizing developmentally appropriate teaching and techniquesSharing the responsibility of planning, preparing and implementing programs and activities, including reading, storytelling, songs, art, dramatic play and physical activityEnsuring programs operate in compliance with childcare licensing standardsSharing the responsibility of maintaining the center and its equipment by cleaning, organizing, sanitizing and completing minor repairsGuiding and assisting children in the development of healthy eating, dressing and toiletry habitsEstablishing collaborative relationships with children, coworkers and SVDC BoardProviding guidance and leadership to the team in the absence of the Executive DirectorDeveloping and maintaining relationships and effective communication with parents/guardians
