*Duties*
* Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available for procedures. * Assist dentists during various dental treatments, including examinations, restorations, and surgical procedures. * Take dental radiographs (X-rays). * Manage patient records accurately ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations. * Provide pre- and post-operative instructions to patients to promote proper care and recovery. * Coordinate appointments and communicate effectively with patients as a dental receptionist to ensure a positive experience. * Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment adhering to strict sanitation protocols and safety standards.
*Skills*
* Proficiency in dental assisting techniques with knowledge of dental terminology related to dentistry. * Experience working with dental practice management software. * Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages, including pediatric populations. * Knowledge of infection control protocols and sterilization procedures within a clinical setting. * Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
