Champion Machining is hiring an experienced *CNC Machinist ? Lathe / Mill* with programming experience for our precision machining job shop in Surrey, BC. We are looking for a machinist who enjoys *setups, programming, and machining a wide variety of custom parts* in a jobbing shop environment.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about machining who enjoys *problem solving, working with different materials, and producing precision components rather than repetitive production work. *

Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled *CNC Machinist and Programmer with experience on CNC lathes and mills*. In this role you will utilize your expertise in CNC machining to produce precision parts and components while maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities
* Set up and operate *CNC lathe and milling machines* to produce high-quality precision components * Program, edit, and troubleshoot CNC programs when required * Interpret *technical drawings and blueprints* to determine machining processes * Select tooling and determine machining strategies * Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment * Inspect parts using *micrometers, calipers, and precision gauges* * Collaborate with team members to improve production processes and efficiency * Maintain a clean and safe working environment
Requirements
* Proven experience as a *CNC Machinist operating CNC lathes and/or mills* * Experience with *Haas CNC machines or similar controls* * Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to read *technical drawings* * Programming experience with *Fusion 360, Mastercam, GibbsCAM, or similar CAM software. We are a Fusion 360 Shop* * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality machining
Work Environment
This role is ideal for machinists who enjoy working in a *job shop environment producing a wide variety of parts* rather than repetitive production work.
*This position is not suited for production-minded applicants.*
Compensation & Benefits
* *$44?$47 per hour depending on experience* * Full-time permanent position * Monday?Friday schedule * Stable work in a growing machining company * *Clear pay progression based on skill development, tenure, and quality of work.*
Pay: $44.00-$47.00 per hour
