Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Full-Time Dental Receptionist to join our close-knit team. This role supports a positive patient experience and smooth daily operations through effective scheduling, patient communication, insurance claims processing, accounts receivable management, and treatment plan tracking and follow-up.
The ideal candidate is professional, organized, proactive, and comfortable managing the priorities of a busy dental front desk.
Key Responsibilities
* Welcome patients, answer telephone calls, and respond to inquiries with warmth and professionalism. * Manage schedules across multiple operatories and providers, balancing appointment requirements, patient needs, and provider availability. * Maintain accurate patient records and verify contact and insurance information. * Prepare and submit insurance claims and predeterminations, resolve discrepancies, and follow up on outstanding claims. * Review aged accounts receivable, investigate outstanding balances, and follow up with patients and insurers to support timely payment. * Process payments, explain account balances, and prepare financial arrangements within clinic guidelines. * Track outstanding treatment plans and follow up with patients regarding recommended care, insurance responses, and appointment bookings, referring clinical questions to the treating provider. * Collaborate with the clinical team to keep schedules, patient information, and administrative follow-up accurate and current. * Protect patient confidentiality and follow clinic policies and procedures. * Perform other administrative duties as assigned by the dentists and Regional Manager.
What We?re Looking For
* *Dental Administration Experience:* Strong hands-on experience with dental front desk operations, aged receivables, insurance claims, and scheduling across multiple operatories. * *Software Knowledge:* *Proficiency with Tracker software is required.* * *Patient Service & Communication:* Excellent telephone manner, a welcoming approach, and the ability to discuss appointments, insurance, and outstanding balances clearly and respectfully. * *Organization & Judgment:* Strong attention to detail, effective time management, and the ability to prioritize competing demands. * *Technical Skills:* Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, online fax, and multi-line telephone systems. * *Teamwork:* A positive, dependable approach and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Qualifications & Experience
* Minimum of 2?3 years of dental office administration or reception experience. * Strong knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and insurance processes. * Demonstrated experience managing aged accounts receivable, following up on insurance claims, and maintaining schedules for multiple operatories and providers. * Experience with treatment plan tracking and patient follow-up.

Compensation
Compensation ranges from *$25?$33 per hour*, based on the depth of relevant experience and demonstrated proficiency in dental front desk administration, aged accounts receivable, insurance claims, scheduling across multiple operatories, and treatment plan tracking and follow-up.
