A renowned non-profit organization in North York is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its collaborative finance team on a 6 month contract, with the strong potential to transition into a permanent role. This is an immediate hire, ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional eager to contribute to a mission-driven organization. What the organization has to offer: • Competitive hourly compensation • Free parking at the office location • Opportunity to support a meaningful non-profit mission • Potential for the role to become permanent Responsibilities: • Manage full-cycle accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close activities • Assist with financial reporting and support the Director of Finance with ad-hoc analysis • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of accounting processes • Contribute to process improvements and system efficiencies Qualifications: • 3+ years of full-cycle accounting experience • Strong knowledge of journal entries and month-end procedures • CPA designation or working toward it is an asset, not a requirement. • Non-profit experience is an advantage but not mandatory • Available to start right away.
