About this role
We are seeking a *Part-Time Science Teacher *who is passionate about helping students strengthen their understanding of *Chemistry* and *Biology* concepts and improve their academic performance. The position will provide individualized or small-group instruction to high school students, supporting courses aligned with the Ontario Curriculum (Grades 9?12).
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Provide one-on-one or small-group tutoring sessions for high school chemistry/biology students. * Implement differentiated instructional strategies to meet diverse student learning needs. * Reinforce classroom learning by reviewing key topics. * Monitor and document student progress, providing constructive feedback and study recommendations. * Communicate regularly with students, parents, and school staff to ensure consistent academic support. * Maintain a positive and encouraging learning environment that fosters student confidence and engagement.
*Qualifications:*
* Bachelor?s degree in Biochemistry, Chemical Biology, Life Science, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, or a closely related field. * Experience tutoring or teaching high school science (Grades 11?12). * Strong understanding of the Ontario Science Curriculum (e.g., SCH3U, SBI3U, SCH4U, SBI4U). * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students succeed. * Ability to tutor both in-person and/or online (depending on schedule and student needs).
