*About the Position*
St George Academy is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and highly motivated *High School Mathematics Teacher* to join our academic team. The successful candidate will inspire students to develop a strong understanding of mathematics while strengthening their problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Plan and deliver engaging mathematics lessons aligned with the Ontario Curriculum. * Teach high school mathematics concepts clearly and effectively. * Prepare assignments, assessments, projects, and examinations. * Monitor student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback. * Use differentiated instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs. * Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment. * Incorporate appropriate technology and innovative teaching strategies. * Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning and student support. * Communicate effectively with students, parents/guardians, and school administration. * Participate in staff meetings, professional-development activities, and school events.
*Qualifications*
* Bachelor?s degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, Education, or a related field. * must be fluent in English * Strong knowledge of high school mathematics. * Previous high school teaching experience is preferred. * Excellent communication, classroom-management, and organizational skills. * Ability to create an engaging and student-centred learning environment. * Commitment to supporting students? academic success and personal growth.
