Job Description Job DescriptionDayXDay Excav8 Southwestern Ontario & Greater Toronto Area Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 5:00 AM-5:00 PM $25-$30/hour + Overtime After 44 Hours Higher Compensation May Be Available Based on Demonstrated Experience Experienced Heavy Equipment Operator Wanted We are looking for an experienced Crusher Operator / Heavy Equipment Operator who can safely and confidently operate crushing equipment as well as a front-end loader, excavator and skid steer. This is a hands-on position for someone who understands heavy equipment, works safely around an active crushing operation and can demonstrate that experience in the field. Qualified candidates will complete a paid working interview where they can demonstrate their equipment operating experience and safety practices. Candidates who clearly demonstrate a higher level of experience and proficiency may be considered for higher compensation. What You'll Be Doing
• Operate and monitor impact crusher equipment and conveyors • Safely operate front-end loaders, excavators and skid steers • Operate excavators with attachments including buckets, hammers and pulverizers • Feed concrete or asphalt into the crushing system safely and consistently • Monitor crusher performance and adjust settings to achieve required material sizing and quality • Complete daily equipment inspections and production reports • Perform pre-operational checks on crushers, conveyors, feeders and heavy equipment • Identify equipment issues and perform minor troubleshooting and maintenance when appropriate • Maintain a clean and safe work area around the crusher and conveyors • Communicate equipment or operational concerns to supervisors and maintenance teams • Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements • Travel to different job locations throughout Southwestern Ontario and the GTA as required What We're Looking For
• Previous crusher, aggregate, mining or similar heavy-equipment experience • Proven ability to safely operate a front-end loader, excavator and skid steer • Strong understanding of equipment safety and safe operating procedures • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to identify and troubleshoot minor equipment issues • Valid G Driver's Licence with a good driving record • Dependable and comfortable working in a physically demanding outdoor environment • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Willingness to travel to different job sites as required • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is an asset Schedule
• Full-time • Monday through Friday • 5:00 AM-5:00 PM • Overtime available and paid after 44 hours • Additional hours or weekends may occasionally be required based on operational needs Compensation $25-$30 per hour based on experience Qualified candidates will be invited to a paid working interview to demonstrate equipment operation, safety awareness and overall proficiency. Candidates who demonstrate advanced experience and safe operation of the required equipment may be considered for higher compensation. Benefits
