*Saltwater Aquarist (Full-Time/Part-Time)*
Are you passionate about marine life and reef ecosystems? Do you have experience working with saltwater aquariums and want to turn that passion into a career? We're looking for a knowledgeable and motivated *Aquarist* to join our team at Kane Aquarium, the largest saltwater aquarium store in Toronto dedicated to marine fish, corals, and reef systems.
*Location:* Toronto *Schedule:* Full-Time / Part-Time *Start Date:* October 15th
*What You?ll Do:*
* Maintain and care for a variety of saltwater aquariums, including reef tanks, coral displays, and quarantine systems * Monitor water parameters and perform regular water testing and maintenance * Feed and care for marine fish, invertebrates, and corals * Diagnose and treat common marine aquarium issues (diseases, pests, water quality, etc.) * Assist customers with expert advice on saltwater setups, fish compatibility, coral placement, and equipment * Help with livestock shipments, acclimation, inventory, and tank setups * Maintain clean and organized tank displays and work areas * Mobile Aquarium setups and maintenance for customers
*What We?re Looking For:*
* Prior experience with saltwater aquariums (reef experience highly preferred) * Solid understanding of marine water chemistry and aquarium equipment (protein skimmers, sumps, dosing, etc.) * Passion for marine life and a desire to share knowledge with hobbyists * Strong attention to detail and commitment to animal welfare * Comfortable working on your feet, lifting buckets, and handling livestock * Friendly, dependable, and team-oriented
*Bonus Skills (Not Required, but a Plus):*
* Aquaculture or marine biology background * Retail or customer service experience * Experience fragging corals or working with advanced reef systems
