QualificationsTo qualify at the GS-07 grade level, your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-05 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Examples of specialized experience include performing the following types of tasks on a regular basis. Experience comparing budget submissions and cross checking the overall accuracy of total estimates across accounts, object classes, and line items. Experience providing technical training to other financial management personnel with regard to budget spreadsheets, accounting ledgers, reconciliation processes, and discrepancy identification resolution. Experience preparing recurring internal and external reports, analyses and recommendations for appropriate action. Major DutiesYou will serve as a Fiscal Resources Tech and be responsible for serving as a Fiscal Resources Technician assisting the Finance and Accounting Division Chief in providing technician work in support of accounting, budgeting, and fiscal operations to the Base staff, units, and customers. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Reviews and reconciliates Program Element Status (PES) reports for assigned staff accounts which encompass numerous Allotment Fund Control (AFC) codes in Core Accounting System (CAS). Funds managers are kept informed of the current status of their funds. Maintains official accounting records by reviewing data, monitoring account activity, and resolving problems to ensure that all financial transactions are properly executed and recorded in Core Accounting System (CAS) in a timely manner. Reviews financial activities to determine adherence to current policies and procedures. Conducts periodic account reviews to identify real or potential situations of deficient or omitted account reconciliation, undelivered order validation, and similar tasks.RequirementsAll qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of the announcement.
