Job SummaryYou will serve as a IT SPECIALIST (APPSW/SYSANALYSIS) in the Information Systems Division, Fleet Readiness Center Southeast (FRCSE) of FLTREADCEN SOUTHEAST.
QualificationsYour resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing some or all of the following duties: Writing and implementing efficient code using languages and frameworks such as C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, Vue, or React; Designing, implementing, and managing software applications throughout the full development lifecycle; Analyzing legacy systems and migrate them to modern architectures to improve performance and ensure system reliability; Developing and maintaining backend services and database structures using Oracle, MySQL, or other relational database management systems; Maintaining, debugging, and troubleshooting applications to resolve operational issues; Working closely with cross-functional teams, conduct code reviews, and provide technical guidance to other developers; Utilizing version control systems and configuration management practices, such as Git and CI/CD pipelines, to track software changes and ensure predictable delivery; Developing applications with cybersecurity in mind, including implementing secure coding practices and resolving vulnerabilities; and Gathering, translating, and interpreting functional business requirements into technical design specifications for software development. Major DutiesYou will lead an application development team through the life cycle of an application's development and manage the first half of the application's life cycle process.You will plan and deliver a full range of customer support services during the development life cycle.You will support the maintenance of existing application software and provided avenues for development of new additions or modification of existing application software.
