Job SummaryAbout the Position: The incumbent will be assigned to the 406th Army Field Support Brigade, Logistics Readiness Center, Supply and Services Division, at White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico. This position will be filled as a term appointment NTE 13 months. Internal Army employees may also apply under Announcement Number -MCGK-26-13057054-MP to be considered for a time limited assignment.

Current Department of Army Civilian Employees Applying on Time-Limited Assignments In order to qualify, you must meet the education and experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Reconciling stock inventory in compliance with policies, 2) Utilizing automated supply systems to manage stock records and resolve data discrepancies; 3) Planning supply operations, including receipt, storage, issue, and inventory control and 4) Inspecting work sites, equipment, and safety programs for regulatory compliance. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or another related field. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
Major DutiesOversees and provides guidance on all matters related to the receipt, storage, issue, and inventory of stock for various classes of supply (Class II, IIIP, IV, IX, VII).Maintain inventory control reports for all aspects of the organization.Serves as a Primary Hand Receipt Holder (PHRH), advising on property administration control of overall supply matters.Provide contract oversight as a Contracting Officer Representative and Quality Assurance Evaluation staff to include review, monitoring, assessing proposed changes,or certifying contractor performance in the installation supply and services activities.Develops and utilizes a Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan to evaluate performance, inspects safety programs, and monitors work sites to ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and regulations.Furnish data reports to the Accountable Officer.Participate in the planning for all phases of supply operations to ensure effective operation in line with established policies and regulationsInspect safety programs for buildings or equipment to ensure security for the installation.Monitors automated systems output to ascertain the accuracy of the data input.
