Job SummaryAbout the Position: The mission of the Corpus Christi Army Depot is to overhaul, repair, modify, retrofit, test and modernize helicopters, engines and components for all services and foreign military customers. Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD) is the Army's Center of Industrial and Technical Excellence for Rotary Wing Aviation Maintenance. We provide worldwide on-site maintenance services, aircraft crash analysis, lubricating oil analysis, and chemical, metallurgical and training support.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that demonstrates experience serving as the official spokesperson and primary contact for local and national media. Developing and implementing crisis communication plans. Leading strategic public affairs operations, orchestrating public information, community engagement, and multimedia dissemination across broadcast outlets, external press, depot workforce, and surrounding communities. Planning, developing, and disseminating news releases, articles and various other types of mass communication information to internal and external audiences. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Attention to Detail Communications and Media Information Management Oral Communication Writing Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).

Major DutiesAdvise the Command Group on communication strategy, public issues, media engagement, and crisis communication, and serves as the installation’s official spokesperson.Develop and executes communication plans to inform employees, media, community leaders, and government officials on Corpus Christi missions, policies, programs, and emergency actions.Lead media relations and outreach by preparing speeches, news releases, articles, and other materials, while building effective relationships with media, civic leaders, and stakeholders.Oversee visual information services, including photography, graphics, video, television production, the depot newspaper, and other internal and external communication platforms.Supervise office personnel by assigning work, evaluating performance, developing staff, and ensuring compliance with EEO, safety, security, training, and workforce management requirements.
