QualificationsResumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. A qualified candidate must possess the following: Work experience directing/managing one or more Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation Programs for a garrison, or similar civilian operation, for at least one year. In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": Possess at least five (5) years of experience directing or managing multiple business and/or recreation programs. Has two (2) years of experience developing and executing Capitol Purchas Minor Construction (CPMC) projects. Has one (1) year of experience as a Contracting Officer's Representative (COR). Experience MUST be reflected on your Resume at the time of application to be considered for Standard and/or Highly Qualified for this position. Applicants meeting the Highly Preferred criteria will be referred first to the Selecting Official. All other applicants may be referred for consideration at managements request.
Major DutiesThrough subordinate activity managers, is responsible for overall management and direction of the Directorate, Family and Morale Welfare and Recreation (DFMWR) Business Division at a large garrison, to include most of the following activities:Clubs, Food and Beverage, Entertainment, Golf, Mobile Snack Facilities, Public-Private Venture, contracted business operations and Lodging Operations, Hunting, Fishing and Sport Shooting. May coordinate with officials responsible for AAFES.Responsible for overall management of fiscal resources and direction of the DFMWR Community Recreation Division at a large garrison, to include most of the following programs:Sports, Fitness and Aquatics, Auto Skills, Parks and Picnic Areas, Entertainment, Community Activity Centers, Outdoor Recreation, Leisure Travel, Installation-wide Events, and non-facility-based programs.Performs other duties as assigned.
