Within our dynamic organization, we are looking for an Assistant Handling Manager. In this role, you play a crucial part in the daily management of our logistics operations. You will ensure that our fresh products reach their destination on time and in top condition every day. Job description As Assistant Handling Manager, you will manage the team on the shop floor on a daily basis and ensure optimal staffing levels and workload distribution. You will oversee the correct, damage-free processing of flowers and plants (including cold storage management, packaging, and dispatch preparation) and monitor strict auction and transport deadlines. In the absence of the Handling Manager, you will assume full responsibility for leadership and decision-making. Additionally, you will actively contribute to the continuous improvement of our logistics workflows to minimize loss and lead times. Degree MBO/HBO level of working and thinking (or equivalent professional/higher vocational education). Demonstrable leadership experience. Experience within the floriculture sector is an advantage. Proficiency in Dutch and English.
