As a Project Engineer Mechanical Engineering, you will design heavy-duty custom machinery and tools for industries including offshore, shipbuilding and energy. You will combine conceptual thinking with 3D design, strength calculations and hands-on engineering. You will also be given considerable responsibility: on smaller projects, you can manage the entire process from the initial sketch through to final delivery on site. Your responsibilities You translate complex technical challenges into practical solutions that are actually built and put into operation. - Design and develop heavy mechanical machinery, tools and equipment. - Develop concepts and detailed designs in 3D. - Perform and review technical and strength calculations. - Oversee the complete design and coordinate with colleagues in engineering and the workshop. - Independently manage smaller projects from initial design through production to final delivery on site.
