How we work at our nursery For us, a good tree starts with healthy soil. That is why we pay close attention to soil quality and continuously look for ways to improve our cultivation methods. Where possible, we control weeds mechanically. Crop protection products and fertilisers are used carefully and in a targeted manner. In this way, we work towards strong and healthy trees while aiming to limit our impact on the surrounding environment. Creating space for biodiversity Biodiversity also receives plenty of attention at our nursery. We have flower strips that provide food for bees, butterflies and other insects. Nest boxes provide birds with places to shelter and nest on and around our fields, while natural predators are encouraged wherever possible. There is also a pond alongside our fields. Throughout the year, it attracts various birds, frogs, insects and other wildlife. In this way, we aim to create a good balance between tree cultivation and nature at our nursery. Trees for a changing climate Drought, heat and extreme rainfall are placing new demands on our living environment.
