About the assignment For a leading, data-driven organization, we are seeking an Interim CTO to bring direction and acceleration to a complex technology environment. The organization operates at the intersection of: - SaaS platforms - data services & APIs - digital transactions/marketplaces With a strong market position in the Netherlands and growth ambitions in Europe, the organization is in a phase of scaling up, modernization and platformization . The challenge The technology environment is historically evolved and consists of a combination of legacy systems and more modern platform components. There is a clear ambition to transform into a: modular, scalable and data-centric platform architecture The challenge for the interim CTO lies in: - applying focus and priority - Accelerating ongoing transformations - Creating alignment between business, product and engineering Assignment & responsibilities 1. Technology vision & roadmap - Recalibrate and sharpen tech strategy - Translate business goals into a concrete technology roadmap - Determining priorities within a broad portfolio 2. Architecture & modernization - Driving transition from legacy to scalable platform architecture - Promote API-first and data-driven working - Rationalizing the application landscape. 3. Data as the core of the platform - Strengthen data architecture and governance - Encourage data-driven product development - Identify opportunities in AI and advanced analytics 4.
