Our client in Hengelo (Overijssel) designs, builds, and supplies advanced machinery and complete production lines (turnkey systems) for the food and pet food industries. Examples include lines for sauces (such as mayonnaise and ketchup), fruit, liquid foods, meat, fish, and meat substitutes. They handle the entire process-from engineering, installation, and factory layout to maintenance, 24/7 support, spare parts, and training. Our client is currently looking for a panel builder. As a panel builder, you play a key role in constructing and connecting the client's custom process installations. You ensure that control panels and switch cabinets are expertly assembled, wired, and tested. From the first wire to the final check, you ensure everything is spot-on. You will work on a wide variety of projects for clients both domestically and internationally. No two installations are alike, making your work varied, technically challenging, and vital to the final result. Your responsibilities: • Assembling and wiring control panels, switch cabinets, and operator panels. • Cabling machines and connecting components to them. • Mounting electrical components based on electrical schematics and drawings. • Connecting and labeling wiring and components. • Checking the quality and proper functioning of the panels. • Performing measurements and basic electrical tests. • Identifying and resolving discrepancies or faults. • Finishing panels and cabling in a neat and organized manner. • Collaborating with colleagues in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Assembly, and Service. • Contributing ideas for improvements to assembly, mounting, and work processes.
