When is job coaching the right step? Job coaching can be used in the following situations, among others: - Assistance in returning to work after (long-term) absence due to physical or mental complaints; - Counseling for significant changes in one's job or job duties; - Support with structure and planning (including task structuring, time management, dealing with routines) - Mediation for misunderstandings, conflicts or cultural differences in the workplace - Support in induction processes (for example, of employees distant from the labor market or employees who need additional guidance to achieve sustainable employability); - Making a work experience placement successful. How does Job coaching work in practice? Your employee will receive personal guidance from a regular job coach. A job coaching program is customized, but usually has the following structure: Intake and workplace assessment The job coach conducts a comprehensive intake with employee and employer. On this basis, a matching profile is drawn up. This forms the basis for setting coaching goals and determining the interventions to be deployed. The result is a customized Pathway Plan. Coaching in the workplace The job coach conducts regular individual or joint sessions with the employee and, if necessary, with colleagues or supervisor(s), aimed at development. Evaluation and adjustment Developments are evaluated regularly and, if necessary, the trajectory plan is adjusted on an interim basis. Completion and assurance When the employee is functioning sufficiently independently, the supervision is phased out and work toward full self-reliance in the workplace.
