About this role
We are looking for a Third Officer to join an Estonian-flagged Oil/Chemical Tanker Work tasks: * Keeping a navigational watch in accordance with STCW requirements, the vessel’s SMS procedures and the Master’s instructions; * ensuring the safe navigation of the vessel during the assigned watch; * proper use and maintenance of navigational equipment, nautical charts and navigation-related documentation; * participating in cargo operations in accordance with the position and the instructions of the Master / Chief Officer; * inspecting and monitoring the condition of the vessel’s safety, lifesaving and firefighting equipment within the assigned area of responsibility; * participating in safety drills and emergency response activities in accordance with the assigned duties; * complying with the vessel’s ISM/SMS, ISPS and occupational safety requirements; * maintaining records and documentation related to the position; * performing other duties associated with the position of Third Officer. Other requirements: * Valid Certificate of Competency as Officer in Charge of a Navigational Watch; * valid seafarer’s medical certificate; * valid Seafarer’s Discharge Book / Seaman’s Book; * valid EU passport/ ID card; * valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate; * valid Basic Training for Oil and Chemical Tanker Cargo Operations certificate; * valid GMDSS General Operator’s Certificate; * other valid STCW certificates required for the position in accordance with applicable requirements.
