Mahony's Pharmacy Limited is currently seeking 1 Pharmaceutical Technician (Healthcare Specific) to work at 23 High Street, Kilkenny. Co. Kilkenny, Kilkenny, R95E225. Key Duties and Responsibilities: * Prescription Processing & Preparation: Receive, assess, enter, select, label, and assemble prescribed medicines for pharmacist verification. * Dispensary & Systems Operations: Support dispensing workflows using the pharmacy management system in strict accordance with regulatory standards. * OTC Consultation & Patient Referral: Assist patients with over-the-counter medicines and health queries while referring complex clinical needs to the pharmacist. * Pharmaceutical Stock Management: Order, receive, inspect, store, and rotate medicines, including expiry tracking and cold-chain/storage compliance. * Records & Documentation Integrity: Maintain patient medication records, controlled pharmacy logs, temperature monitoring, and data protection compliance. * Scheme & Claims Processing: Support the administrative processing of community drug schemes, DPS, and medical card claims. * Inter-Professional & Patient Liaison: Coordinate with GP practices, pharmacists, suppliers, and patients regarding medicine availability and prescription details. * Quality Assurance & Regulatory Compliance: Enforce health and safety procedures, confidentiality, patient safety protocols, and continuous service improvement. Requirements: Minimum 2 years of experience Exceptional attention to detail Contract type: 24 months 39 hours per week / Annual salary 36605 / 18.05 per hour.
