Jobomschrijving In this role you will report to the head of finance and will be carrying out the following tasks: Lead the accounting function and ensure compliant financial reporting. Own the month-end and year-end close process. Manage, coach, and develop the accounting team (2 direct reports). Ensure accuracy and integrity of the General Ledger . Lead external audits and coordinate with auditors. Oversee Belgian and European VAT compliance . Advise on accounting policies and complex transactions. Review reconciliations, accruals, provisions, and key journal entries. Improve processes , controls, and accounting procedures. Drive finance systems, automation , and AI initiatives. The ideal candidate matches the following criteria: Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent Minimum 7 years of experience in accounting Fluent in French or Dutch and English Strong experience in VAT compliance and tax declarations. Experience with multi-country VAT registrations and compliance is a strong asset. Experience with Dynamics 365 is a plus Strong communication skills
