About this role

Duties and Responsibilities:­

• Manages production operation to meet scheduled demand and efficient inventory turns.

• Responsible for product quality and safe operation of production area including the safe handling of tooling to ensure Lamination of a quality product including periodic line checks.

• Determines proper staffing levels daily.

• Responsibility for other machine groups including equipment and personnel in the absence of the assigned managers to support groups for direction.

• Accurately and timely Data Entry of required reports to include – Tulip production reports, scrap and any other information requested by management.

• Responsible to maintain and drive VEKA policies and standards to include safety standards, housekeeping standards, material packaging standards and scrap segregation requirements.

• Works collaboratively with other departments across the VEKA organization to include:

• Scheduling for high priority items that require adjustments to the schedule.

• Maintenance Department to ensure proper upkeep of equipment and report of breakdowns and equipment problems.

• Warehouse Department to ensure base material is available for Lamination.

• CCC and QA to resolve and quality or delivery issues.

• Builds a high performing team through hiring, training, evaluation, and development.

• Determines individual employee needs and recommends opportunity for career development and training.

• Reviews all audits and training to ensure that noted deficiencies identified are corrected and/or retrained.

• Receives and directs in-coming phone calls during non-business hours.

• All other duties as assigned.

Education:

• Bachelor of Science Degree or 2 years as Supervisor or equivalent manufacturing or management experience.

• Lamination experience preferred

Organizational Relationship:

• Reports to Production Manager

Physical Requirements:

• Essential functions of this job are to perform a range of physical activities throughout the workday, including balancing, stooping, reaching, crouching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, fingering, talking, hearing and engaging in repetitive motions.

• An essential function of this job is to lift and or move up to 50 pounds occasionally, up to 20 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly.

• Must be available with predictable and regular attendance onsite to perform the essential functions above under key functions whenever employee is scheduled to work.
