Who you are:

The Talent Manager is an inspirational leader that oversees the recruitment process and team member lifecycle management. They act as the "Maitre D" of the interview journey and provide warm hospitality to all potential and current employees. They partner closely with the Talent Team, the Operations Teams, and build strong relationships across the organization. This role is great for someone who is eager to grow in Talent Acquisition and Hospitality, passionate about people, and finds joy in being the "match maker" of the company.

What You'll Do:

• Cultivate a culture of Enlightened Hospitality for all stakeholders that supports our business objectives and growth

• Support the ongoing talent needs of all businesses, owning the candidate development process from identification and engagement to offer extension and closing

• Proactively partners with hiring managers to build strong talent pipelines and identify internal transfer processes to support both business needs and employee growth needs

• Builds relationships and engages with community partners, schools and universities, and organizations to support us in sourcing top talent and candidates from underrepresented groups

• Participates in hiring events, career fairs, and information sessions

• Curates relationships within the hospitality and restaurant industry to be able to support sourcing candidates from different channels with a focus on diversity, inclusion, and belonging

• Owns the planning and logistics of all onsite and offsite recruiting events, such as job fairs and open calls

• Lead and continue to enhance our USHG-wide employee referral program

• Partners with the Marketing team to enhance our recruiting collateral and to promote USHG as an employer of choice through our social media channels

• Collaborates well with the Union Square Hospitality Group's People Team and supports Talent driven HR needs with the employee life cycle

• Conduct employee exit interviews and compile employee exit surveys and turnover data monthly, making recommendations to leaders to improve retention

• Perform additional responsibilities as needed and other duties as assigned to support team objectives and operational success

What We Need From You:

• At least 1-2 years of full-cycle recruiting experience in the hospitality industry, preferably in restaurants

• Demonstrated experience leading searches and successfully placing applicants for various position levels

• Must be able to communicate effectively with senior leaders, build trust, credibility, and influence by example, and identify best practices and ability to teach/train

• Must have strong written, and verbal presentation and negotiation skills

• Must have developed and implemented creative, timely, and cost-effective programs to identify, attract, and hire top-level candidates for employment

• Keen understanding of the hospitality industry and the culture and beliefs of Union Square Hospitality Group

• Sound HR judgment and sense of urgency

• Bachelor's degree and SHRM Certification preferred but not required

• Knowledge of UKG ATS preferred but not required

• Ability to work on-site in our home office in New York or within our businesses
