Position Summary
The Network Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day administration, maintenance, monitoring, and support of the organization's network infrastructure. This role supports corporate offices, remote facilities, cloud-connected environments, and business-critical systems to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient network operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Network Administration
• Configure, maintain, and support routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and related network infrastructure.
• Monitor network performance, availability, and capacity to ensure optimal operation.
• Troubleshoot LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, DNS, DHCP, and internet connectivity issues.
• Perform network hardware replacements, firmware upgrades, configuration backups, and system maintenance.
• Maintain network diagrams, IP address inventories, and technical documentation.
• Assist with network expansion projects, upgrades, and infrastructure improvements.
Remote Site Support
• Provide support for remote business locations and field operations.
• Assist with installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of site networking equipment.
• Coordinate with internet service providers, vendors, and contractors to resolve service interruptions and infrastructure issues.
• Participate in site deployments, upgrades, and technology rollouts.
Security and Compliance
• Support implementation and maintenance of network security controls.
• Assist with firewall administration, VPN management, access control configurations, and network segmentation initiatives.
• Support cybersecurity remediation efforts and vulnerability management activities.
• Follow company security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Maintain documentation required for compliance and audit activities.
Monitoring and Incident Response
• Utilize network monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Respond to infrastructure incidents and service requests in a timely manner.
• Perform root cause analysis for recurring network issues and outages.
• Escalate complex issues as appropriate while maintaining ownership through resolution.
Project Participation
• Support technology deployments and infrastructure refresh initiatives.
• Collaborate with IT, cybersecurity, and business teams on operational projects.
• Assist in evaluating new technologies and recommending improvements.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and technical documentation.
Supervisory Responsibilities
• This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
• May provide technical direction to contractors, vendors, and field personnel during installations, deployments, and service events.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Networking & Cybersecurity.
Required Qualifications
• Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting enterprise networking environments.

• Required hands-on experience administering Cisco Meraki networking platforms, including switches, wireless access points, security appliances, and the Meraki Dashboard.
• Required experience supporting network infrastructure and cloud-connected environments in both AWS and Microsoft Azure.
• Required hands-on experience using Python for scripting, automation, and network administration tasks.
• Experience troubleshooting network, internet, and connectivity issues.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and documentation abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
• Cisco CCNA certification or equivalent industry certification.
• Experience with SD-WAN technologies.
• Experience with firewall administration and network security best practices.
• Experience with network monitoring and performance management platforms.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and Entra ID environments.
• Experience supporting campus area networks, including multi-building wired and wireless network environments.

Physical Requirements
• Ability to install, rack, and maintain networking equipment.
• Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in data closets, telecommunications rooms, and equipment areas.
• Ability to climb ladders and work in confined spaces when necessary.
Work Environment
• Work is primarily performed in a standard office environment with extended periods of computer use.
• Work is also performed in data closets, server rooms, and telecommunications spaces where noise and temperature levels may vary.
• Travel to remote and field locations may require exposure to outdoor weather conditions and active operational environments.
• Must comply with all company safety policies, site access requirements, and personal protective equipment (PPE) standards while on site.
• Occasional after-hours, weekend, or on-call work is required to support maintenance windows and incident response.
Travel Requirements
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
• Travel may include site assessments, infrastructure deployments, project implementations, training, and troubleshooting activities.
• Occasional overnight travel may be required based on business needs.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel independently.
