The Commercial Loan Specialist position is included in a workplace model that allows for a combination of in-office and remote work.
As a Commercial Loan Specialist, essential responsibilities include:
• Identify upcoming maturities and coordinate renewals through maintenance and use of the loan maturities report.
• Initiate credit memorandum process reflecting modifications for assigned Relationship Manager(s).
• Initiate credit proposal requests to underwriting for new loans needing committee approval for assigned Relationship Managers(s).
• Enter Bank 2 business data and coordinate approval process on new loans and renewals for assigned Relationship Manager(s).
• Verify currency of all financial information through document review and communications with customers.
• Assure that current information is provided to Credit Department.
• Schedule and facilitate loan closings.
• Prepare loans-in-process tickets and issue loan checks, within limits.
• Prepare executed loan documents for processing and filing.
• Administer documentation, exceptions, and post-closing follow-up lists.
• Administrate line-of-credit draw and transfer requests and coordinate with commercial loan Administration (CLADMIN).
• Facilitate the maintenance and updating of commercial loan and deposit accounts with CLADMIN and Treasury Management.
• Acquire documents for Treasury Management.
• Ensure all client questions and problems are addressed and solved.
• Place calls to customers related to overdrafts, past-due loans, missing documentation, etc.
• Coordinate Relationship Manager schedules, as needed.
• Compose and produce client correspondence.
• Close loans on behalf of relationship Managers, acting as the closing agent.
• Responsible for sales prospect database management and other sales-related contact lists.
• Periodically accompany relationship Managers on client, prospect, and center of influence calls to assist in presenting the full complement of service plans.
• Compile sales information packets as needed for Relationship Manager calling.
• Complete One-Point data entry, as needed.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• High level of organizational skills; attentive to details.
• Self-starter with proven ability to work with multiple priorities.
• Demonstrated skills working with Microsoft Office Suite.
