Registered Nurse - Medical Care Unit - PT Nights
Hourly Base Rate: $50.96 - 84.15 Shift: Night Shift Hours Per Week: 24 hours/week, 12-hour shifts
The Medical Care Unit registered nurse (RN) provides care to patients on a general medical unit, assessing their health needs, administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and coordinating care plans.
Key Responsibilities:
• Regularly evaluating patients' conditions by taking vital signs, monitoring symptoms, and performing physical assessments.
• Creating individualized care plans based on patient needs, including medication administration, wound care, and activity levels.
• Accurately preparing and administering medications as prescribed by physician.
• Cleaning and dressing wounds as needed.
• Initiating and maintaining intravenous fluids.
• Informing patients and their families about their conditions, treatment plans, and self-care practices.
• Collaborating with other healthcare team members like doctors, physical therapists, and social workers to ensure coordinated care.
• Responding promptly to medical emergencies and initiating appropriate interventions
Qualifications:
• Current licensure as an RN, State of Oregon.
• Current BLS.
• Two years acute care experience preferred.
