Pinchin is seeking a Senior Consultant to join our Building Envelope team.

Building Envelope Overview

Our Building Envelope team improves how buildings perform and how communities thrive by preventing problems before they start. As we expand across the US, we're seeking a Consultant to lead complex projects and support regional growth. In this role, you'll collaborate with experts across the US, strengthen project delivery, and help shape resilient, high‑performing buildings. Your Impact as a Senior Consultant

As a Senior Consultant, you will begin to take ownership of projects, technical delivery, client relationships and team development while continuing to expand your expertise within Pinchin's Existing Buildings practice. You will independently manage projects from initial client engagement through completion, provide technical guidance to project teams, and help strengthen the client relationships that support the continued growth of the practice.

• Lead and manage building envelope and existing building consulting projects from initial evaluation and investigation through design, bidding, construction, and closeout.

• Lead technical evaluations, field investigations, forensic assessments, design consulting, and construction-phase services.

• Independently manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality, profitability, and client expectations to support successful project outcomes.

• Prepare, review, and provide technical guidance on reports, assessments, specifications, construction documents, repair recommendations, and other project deliverables.

• Serve as a primary client contact and trusted technical advisor, maintaining responsive communication and developing long-term client relationships.

• Identify client needs and collaborate with Pinchin leadership to develop scopes of work, proposals, fee estimates, and additional service opportunities.

• Coordinate and lead project activities involving internal teams, contractors, clients, property managers, design professionals, and other project stakeholders.

• Manage multiple complex projects and priorities while maintaining technical quality, responsiveness, schedule, and financial accountability.

• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and project leadership to Consultants and junior team members, supporting their technical and professional development.

• Participate in client meetings, project presentations, and other activities that strengthen Pinchin's relationships and presence within the marketplace.

• Collaborate across offices and disciplines to leverage Pinchin's broader technical capabilities and resources in support of our clients.

• Contribute to a culture of accountability, teamwork, technical excellence, mentorship, and exceptional client service.

• Support the continued growth and development of Pinchin's Building Envelope and Existing Buildings practice.

• Perform other duties as assigned based on experience, project needs, and the continued growth of the practice.

What You'll Bring to Pinchin

The successful candidate will bring a combination of advanced technical expertise, project leadership, client relationship management, mentorship, and accountability. You are an experienced and collaborative professional who can independently lead complex assignments, provide sound technical guidance, develop trusted client relationships, and contribute to the continued development of the team and practice.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Building Science, or a related technical field. Equivalent combinations of education, credentials, and relevant industry experience may be considered.

• Significant experience independently managing building envelope, existing building, engineering consulting, or construction-related projects, including responsibility for scope, schedule, budget, deliverables, and client communication.

• Strong technical knowledge and demonstrated project experience in one or more areas including building envelope consulting, roofing, waterproofing, façade and concrete restoration, windows and doors, forensic investigations, construction administration, or capital reserve studies.

• Demonstrated ability to lead technical investigations and develop practical repair, rehabilitation, and capital improvement recommendations.

• Ability to prepare and critically review technical reports, specifications, drawings, assessments, construction documents, and other professional project deliverables.

• Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects, priorities, and client expectations while maintaining quality, responsiveness, schedule, and financial accountability.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate technical information effectively to clients, property managers, boards, contractors, and other project stakeholders.

• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain trusted client relationships and identify opportunities to expand Pinchin's support of existing and prospective clients.

• Experience providing technical guidance, mentorship, and project leadership to junior and intermediate team members.

• Strong organizational, problem-solving, leadership, and professional judgment skills, with the ability to operate independently while collaborating effectively across project teams and offices.

• Commitment to integrity, accountability, technical excellence, responsiveness, collaboration, mentorship, and exceptional client service.

• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites, client meetings, and other Pinchin offices as required.
