Phipps Neighborhoods is a multi-service nonprofit 501(c)(3) providing opportunities for children, youth, and families to break the cycle of poverty and achieve long-term self-sufficiency. Program Description

Phipps Neighborhoods aim to create Pathways to Access, Benefits and a Sustainable Future (PABS) through proactive outreach and resource navigation for a target population of low-income New Yorkers; particularly community members set to experience federal cuts to SNAP, Medicaid and other public benefits resulting from the passage of the “Big, Beautiful Bill”.

PABS is designed to help community members navigate this changing landscape by expanding access to benefits, strengthening community-based outreach, and connecting individuals and families to the support they need to remain stable. The BAPS is grounded in:

• A data-oriented approach

• Anti-racist praxis

• Strong institutional relationship-building

• Systems thinking

Duties / Responsibilities

• Provide on-site general support to Program Director and Case Managers

• Create and maintain office documents, invoices and data sheets

• Collection and management of data

• Assist Director in the preparation of reports

• Assist with the scheduling, coordination and preparation of staff meetings

• Maintain supplies inventory, place orders, verify receipt of orders and submit close-outs packages

• Maintain attendance and incentive logs

• Perform other tasks as directed by Program Director

Qualifications:

• Minimum High School Diploma or HSE required; some college preferred

• Demonstrate organizational skills

• Problem-solving and interpersonal skills

• Must be able to work with multiple deadlines and priorities

• Flexible, adaptable with ability to work in a changing environment

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Bi-lingual (Spanish speaking) preferred

• Enthusiasm, creativity and initiative

Work Environment

• This is an office / field-based role that may requires local travel to community locations and partner sites.

Salary: $20.00/hour, 20 hours/week

Days & Hours: Monday – Friday: 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
