About this role

Job Summary:

The IGA Coordinator serves as a liaison between the facility and the United States Marshals Service (USMS) regarding prisoner-related matters. This position is responsible for gathering, maintaining, and updating prisoner information in the USMS Prisoner Tracking System (PTS), as well as assisting with prisoner designations, movements, documentation, and related administrative processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Serve as a liaison between the facility and the United States Marshals Service (USMS) regarding prisoner-related matters.

• Assist with the implementation and processing of Judgment and Commitment Orders.

• Assist in assembling and processing destination package requests and submitting required packages to the Bureau of Prisons (BOP).

• Assist with quarterly verification of prisoner detainers.

• Gather and maintain required prisoner documentation, including Prisoner Intake Forms (USM-129), Personal History Forms (USM-312), and other documentation as required by the USMS.

• Update prisoner medical information in the USMS Prisoner Tracking System (PTS).

• Update prisoner status in the PTS to accurately reflect their phase in the designation process.

• Process prisoner designations received from the USMS.

• Submit requests for prisoner movements (Form 106) to the Justice Prisoner and Alien Transportation System (JPATS).

• Maintain accurate and timely records related to prisoner tracking and designation activities.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge Skills/Abilities:

• High school diploma or equivalent and three (3) years of applicable experience required.

• Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, and recordkeeping skills.

• Working knowledge of business English, grammar, spelling, and professional correspondence.

• Ability to follow moderately complex instructions, apply policies and procedures, and make routine decisions.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

• Ability to effectively interact with detainees, the public, coworkers, and external agencies.

• Continuous sitting up to 2 hours per shift
