What will you be doing:

The Budget Analyst (FP&A) supports financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting for a Home Health and Durable Medical Equipment (DME) organization. Reporting to the Supervisor of Financial Planning & Analysis, this role is ideal for an early-career finance professional seeking hands-on exposure to healthcare finance, reimbursement models, and operational analytics. The analyst will assist with financial modeling, variance analysis, and reporting while partnering with internal teams to support informed business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Budgeting

• Assist in the preparation of annual operating budgets and periodic forecasts under FP&A leadership guidance

• Support budget modeling including revenue and expense tracking

• Monitor budget vs. actual results and help identify variances and trends

Financial Analysis & Reporting

• Prepare routine financial reports and basic variance analyses for management review

• Support monthly close processes by gathering data, validating results, and preparing summaries

• Track key performance indicators (KPIs)

• Partner with billing or revenue cycle teams to help identify reimbursement-related variances

Operational & Cross-Functional Support

• Work with operations and clinical teams to understand volume, staffing, and productivity drivers

• Assist with cost analysis related to supplies, equipment, labor, and service delivery

• Support ad hoc financial analyses and special projects as assigned

Data & Process Support

• Maintain financial models, spreadsheets, and reporting templates

• Ensure accuracy and consistency of financial data across reports

• Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency and data organization

What will you need to succeed:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field required

• 1–3 years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, accounting, or a related role

• Healthcare experience and Home Health or DME exposure is a plus but not required

• Strong Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, basic financial modeling)

• Basic understanding of financial statements and budgeting concepts

• Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and communicate findings clearly

• Strong attention to detail, organization, and willingness to learn
