Job Summary/Description:

WIFR is in need of an Anchor/MMJ who is a self-starter, who tells a great story, finds unique ways to present information to viewers, and can shoot good video. You must have a strong on-air delivery, sharp social media skills, and excellent people skills. Must also have the ability to not only handle but expect curveballs in story assignments and know how to adapt in each situation. College degree and previous newsroom experience. Good news judgment with the ability to make quick and accurate decisions, creative writing, good communication skills, and the ability to work under deadline pressure.

You will write and edit news packages for air, as well as produce content for our website and social media pages. We need people who relate the news and incorporate "real people" in their work.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

* Reporting * Reporting from Anchor Desk * Editing * Web and Social Media - participation and contribution to several platforms

Qualifications/Requirements:

* Our fast-paced industry requires journalists who can work on a deadline and can adapt to breaking news. * Candidates must have a working knowledge of all social media platforms, strong writing skills, and a solid on-air delivery. * Good news judgment with the ability to make quick and accurate decisions is essential. * Must possess a valid driver's license and good driving record.
