Position Summary
The Insights & Analytics Analyst is a consolidated role serving both the Sales & Channel Strategy and New Product Development functions. This role translates syndicated market data, consumer research, and internal sales data into insights that inform channel strategy, trade programming, and product pipeline decisions.
Key Accountabilities
• Analyzes syndicated market data to track category performance, brand velocity, and competitive positioning.
• Builds and maintains dashboards and reporting tools for sales and trade program performance.
• Supports NPD concept validation and consumer research, including managing survey instruments, concept testing logistics, and results synthesis.
• Monitors pricing and promotional activity across the competitive set and provides regular reporting.
• Pulls and structures internal sales data to support sales planning and strategy reviews.
• Supports the development of customer and channel business cases with data-driven analysis.
• Prepares presentation-ready analysis for internal leadership and customer-facing use.
• Maintains a library of consumer research, trend reports, and category insights documentation.
• Supports both the Manager, Sales Analytics & Activation and Manager, NPD on analytical priorities, with workload direction coordinated between the two.
Qualifications
• 3+ years of experience in category management, sales analytics, market research, or a related analytical role.
• Proficiency with syndicated data platforms such as Nielsen, Circana, or IRI.
• Familiarity with primary research methods including consumer surveys and concept testing.
• Strong Excel and data visualization skills; Power BI experience a plus.
• Food, CPG, or grocery retail experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, statistics, or related field required.
