GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
Performs wide range of duties related to Bank's record retention. Corrects or reports errors and adjustments and performs other basic accounting duties. Processes subpoena, garnishments, tax levies and child support levies; responds to Treasury reclamations and correspond with customer. Conducts research requests for branch personnel and customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• 1. Conducts research on branch discrepancies and corrects or reports errors; performs other basic research duties. 2. Performs research and responds to customer telephone inquiries, researches discrepancies on customer accounts, makes corrections as warranted. 3. Processes daily decisions for NSF transactions made by branches. 4. Researches bank records, court orders, and responds to subpoenas and summons on customer accounts. 5. Reviews and processes stop pay items and unposted items. 6. Verifies scanning of documents for permanent bank records. 7. Research discrepancies and corrections on correspondent bank accounts along with Federal Reserve adjustments. 8. Processes and responds to account verification requests, garnishments, court orders, tax levies, child support levies on customer accounts; adheres to federal guidelines regarding garnishments. 9. Processes disputes from Chexsystems. 10. Reviews reports daily of payments received for charged off accounts and reporting to CA collections. 11. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES
While performing the functions of this job, the employee is continuously required to talk or hear; regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms; occasionally required to stand, walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision; and color vision.
