Job Description: We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to drive revenue growth and customer acquisition in the defined territory. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics sales and a proven ability to develop and maintain long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
• Identify, scope, and qualify new business opportunities within the assigned territory that align with the company's service offerings.
• Retain and grow revenue from existing clients through deep selling, cross-selling, and value-added service offerings.
• Conduct face-to-face meetings with prospective and current customers to understand their logistics needs and present tailored solutions.
• Prepare and deliver compelling proposals and presentations that meet client objectives.
• Build and maintain long-term, trust-based relationships with clients, acting as their primary point of contact.
• Collaborate with internal teams—product, operations, and finance—to ensure smooth implementation and service delivery.
• Analyze market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
• Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets related to customer acquisition, volume growth, revenue, and gross profit.
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation of all sales activities in the CRM system and adherence to sales processes and organizational policies.
• Development and ownership of BD strategy and execution to achieve growth targets.
• Follow up and development of leads for major new business opportunities.
• Maintain and develop overseas partner relationships, including pipeline development, sales lead creation and focused activities, including regular travel to develop and review business.
• Management of volume and profitability development across all product groups.
• Gathering and distribution of relevant Market Intelligence to key stakeholders.
• Regular review of market sector strategy, new business opportunities and value creation.
• To structure, focus and develop business wins into key accounts in line with CWW objectives.
Candidate Requirements:
• Prior experience in sales or business development within the logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain industry.
• Strong negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated with a target-driven approach and ability to work independently.
• Willingness to travel within the assigned territory for client meetings and business development activities.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor level education and/or commensurate experience.
• Minimum of 10 years relevant experience in progressive commercial positions within the logistics service provider/3PL industry.
• Developed knowledge of Airfreight, Ocean Freight, Contract Logistics and Transportation.
• Proven record of growing business and starting new accounts.
• High level negotiation experience in complex solutions settings.
• Languages: Per market fluency
