Tingley, a part of the MCR Safety Group and a Bunzl company, is now hiring for a Sales Operations Administrator based at the Tingley headquarters in Piscataway, NJ.
The Sales Operations Administrator provides administrative and operational support to the Sales Operations team, with primary responsibility for customer account setup, pricing administration, customer master data maintenance, and sales support activities.
This entry-level role works closely with department leader and partners across Sales, customer service, finance, pricing, marketing, and other business functions to ensure customer information, pricing records, and sales-related data are accurately and consistently maintained across company systems. The position provides hands-on experience in customer onboarding, pricing processes, account maintenance, reporting support, and commercial operations workflows. The Sales Operations Administrator plays an important role in maintaining data accuracy, supporting internal stakeholders, and helping deliver strong customer experience.
Responsibilities:
Customer Setup and Maintenance
• Create, update, and maintain customer accounts within ERP and CRM systems.
• Process new customer requests, required documentation, and onboarding forms.
• Create and maintain bill-to, ship-to, and customer location records.
• Process account changes, consolidations, acquisitions, transfers, and extensions.
• Maintain customer hierarchy structures, territory assignments, and account ownership records.
• Audit customer master data for completeness and accuracy.
• Support customer data cleanup and standardization initiatives.
Pricing Administration
• Process customer pricing requests, updates, and routine maintenance activities.
• Assist with contract pricing, customer-specific pricing, and program maintenance.
• Review pricing discrepancies and coordinate corrections with the appropriate teams.
• Support pricing uploads, validation, documentation, and approval records.
• Assist with promotional pricing and rebate program administration as assigned.
Sales Operations Support
• Provide timely support to sales representatives and internal stakeholders.
• Assist with territory assignments, account ownership updates, and account transitions.
• Coordinate workflow requests among Sales, Customer Service, Finance, Pricing, and Operations.
• Assist with customer program setup and ongoing maintenance.
• Support sales initiatives, reporting requests, and operational projects as assigned.
• Help track open requests and escalate issues when necessary.
Data Quality and Reporting
• Maintain accurate data across CRM, ERP, and related business systems.
• Perform routine audits, data validation, and quality checks.
• Assist with sales reporting and basic data analysis requests.
• Identify data inconsistencies and help coordinate corrective actions.
• Support continuous improvement of Sales Operations processes and documentation.
Administrative Support
• Maintain departmental documentation, files, and records.
• Track assigned requests and support timely completion.
• Participate in team meetings and cross-functional projects.
Assist with special projects and other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Associate degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
• 1 – 2 years' experience in customer service, sales support, business administration, data administration, or a related field.
• Internship or administrative experience in a business environment is preferred.
• Experience with ERP, CRM, or customer management systems is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Accurate data entry and effective data management skills.
This is an hourly position and the pay range is between $24-$26.50 per hour, based on education, experience, and geographical location.
