About this role

Primary Function:

The Crib Supervisor oversees Crib warehouse, receiving, and material-handling activities, ensuring safe, accurate, and efficient material flow to support internal and external customer requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Lead Crib warehouse operations across three shifts by promoting a safe, organized, and accountable work environment focused on service, accuracy, quality, and timely material support.

• Implement, train, audit, and sustain standard receiving and put-away processes to ensure accurate, timely Oracle transactions that support inventory accuracy and order replenishment.

• Support limited outbound shipping activity as needed.

• Lead daily problem solving by identifying operational concerns, coordinating with area supervisors, escalating issues as needed, and communicating follow-up actions with production, purchasing, planning, quality, shipping, and warehouse teams.

• Coach, mentor, and develop team members by addressing performance, attendance, safety, process-adherence, and behavioral concerns in a timely, fair, and consistent manner.

• Oversee equipment uptime by ensuring preventive maintenance schedules are followed and coordinating with maintenance teams and vendors to minimize downtime events.

• Maintain vendor and supplier relationships by coordinating orders, resolving supplier-related issues, addressing OS&D concerns, and supporting stocking opportunities.

• Ensure standard picking processes are followed to maintain inventory accuracy, material availability, and a safe, organized work environment.

• Use key performance metrics, including Capacity and Accuracy tracking, to identify trends, drive continuous improvement, and improve safety, accuracy, efficiency, and workload visibility.

• Collect, verify, organize, and retain required department records, including Hi-Lo inspection checklists, sign-out sheets, and packing slips.

• Review open issues weekly and resolve missing purchase orders, receiving discrepancies, and related documentation concerns in a timely manner.

• Participate in weekly one-on-one, management, and production meetings to review priorities, communicate MRO updates, resolve follow-up items, and maintain cross-functional alignment.

• Manage daily communications by responding professionally, coordinating with internal teams, and maintaining clear contact with external partners as needed.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred; High School diploma or GED required

• Previous leadership experience in warehouse or supply chain operations is required

• Knowledge of shipping, receiving, warehousing, and inventory management

• Proficiency in computer systems, including Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP/WMS systems such as Oracle, SAP, etc.

• Strong leadership, able to coach individuals to work effectively as a team

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Strong organization and time-management skills

• Strong customer service skills, including active listening, prompt service and follow-up

• Ability to evaluate data and consider decision impact across multiple areas

• Ability to multi-task, take initiative, make decisions, work to plan, and delegate as needed

• High degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently
