Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Partner with Commercial/Sales, Operations, and Engineering teams to evaluate customer needs and develop scopes for water management projects, including water transfer, recycling, treatment, sourcing, and related services. Track and analyze customer volumes, revenue, pricing, project performance, and other key commercial and operational metrics. Assist leadership in identifying opportunities to maximize revenue, improve project economics, and expand Aureus Energy's service offerings with existing and prospective customers. Develop and maintain financial and operational models to evaluate new projects, customer opportunities, contract structures, volume commitments, pricing scenarios, and rate structures. Perform economic and scenario analyses to support pricing decisions, proposals, contract negotiations, and business development opportunities. Support customer relationship management by maintaining commercial opportunity pipelines, project timelines, customer activity, and key deliverables in coordination with Commercial/Sales leadership. Assist in the development and execution of business development initiatives, including preparation of customer proposals, pricing packages, term sheets, presentations, and other commercial materials. Monitor market activity, operator activity, customer development plans, and industry trends to identify potential commercial opportunities and support continued company growth. Utilize industry data and market intelligence platforms, to analyze permit activity, rig counts, DUCs, production profiles, remaining inventory, and offset operator activity. Work cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, and other internal stakeholders to ensure commercial assumptions align with operational capabilities and financial expectations. Review customer agreements and commercial terms to understand pricing structures, volume commitments, service requirements, and other key business provisions. Assist with ensuring commercial and contractual terms are accurately communicated to the appropriate internal teams for execution. Prepare recurring commercial and operational reporting packages, dashboards, forecasts, and presentations for senior leadership. Analyze actual project and customer performance against forecasts, budgets, pricing assumptions, and expected returns. Identify trends, risks, opportunities, and performance gaps and communicate findings and recommendations to leadership. Support annual planning, forecasting, budgeting, and other strategic initiatives related to commercial operations. Maintain accurate commercial data and documentation and support continuous improvement of reporting, processes, and analytical tools. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned based on business needs. Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field. 3–5 years of experience in oil and gas, energy services, water management, commercial operations, business development, finance, or an analytical role preferred. Working knowledge of upstream oil and gas operations; experience within produced water, water transfer, water recycling/treatment, midstream, or energy services is strongly preferred. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including experience developing and maintaining financial and operational models. Strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint with the ability to develop clear, executive-level presentations. Working knowledge of financial modeling and discounted cash flow analysis, including metrics such as free cash flow, and return on investment. Ability to review and understand basic commercial and contract structures, including pricing, rate structures, volume commitments, and service terms. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to convert complex information into clear business recommendations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with field operations, customers, leadership, and cross-functional teams. Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, operationally driven environment where priorities may change based on customer and business needs. Strong attention to detail, accountability, and commitment to producing accurate and timely work. Working Conditions / Environment
Primarily operates in a professional and/or business casual office environment. Regular interaction with Commercial/Sales, Operations, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, and senior leadership. May occasionally require travel to Aureus Energy field locations, customer offices, or company facilities. Must be comfortable working in an environment that supports both corporate and field-based oil and gas operations. Key Competencies
