This position is responsible to serve as trusted advisors who help customers achieve their financial goals through personalized solutions and meaningful relationships. Private Banker possesses advanced knowledge of Retail Banking, Digital Banking, Treasury Management, Business Banking, Ag Banking, Wealth and Insurance services. This role is responsible for growing and retaining deposit relationships, generating referrals across business lines and developing new business opportunities through intentional networking, community involvement, and building trusted customer relationships. There will be a strong focus on developing new deposit relationships through business development activities.
MEASURES OF SUCCESS:
• Profitably grow deposit and banking relationships while maintaining adherence to the Bank's risk tolerance.
• Acquire new affluent consumer and small business relationships through networking, referrals and community engagement.
• Deepen existing customer relationships through intentional customer engagement and delivery of personalized financial solutions.
• Generate quality referrals across Wealth, Insurance, Treasury Management, Business Banking, Ag Banking and Digital Banking
• Maintain high customer retention and satisfaction through exceptional service and relationship management.
• Contributes to the bank's financial success by achieving targets for loan production, new account production, line of business referrals, treasury services and digital banking enrollment.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develops and delivers personalized banking solutions that support customers' financial goals while providing exceptional service and building trusted relationships.
• Identifies high-potential prospects and actively pursues opportunities to develop new business relationships
• Coordinates with partners across all lines of business to deliver comprehensive solutions that meet customer needs.
• Fosters strong relationships with internal teams and external partners.
• Facilitates collaboration across teams and partners.
• Day-to-day duties and responsibilities may vary based on factors such as experience, the size and complexity of the customer portfolio, the products and services used by the customers, and individual customer needs
(40-50%) New Business Development-
• Maintains a disciplined business development plan including networking, prospecting, call activities, center-of-influence development and community engagement to generate new deposits and relationships
• Independently writes and presents professional quality proposals and respond to formal requests for proposals.
(25-35%) Retention and Maintenance of Existing Customers-
• Consults with customers over the lifecycle of the relationship to uncover needs, educate, and advise on product and service alternatives that align with the customer's financial objectives.
• Actively manages an assigned portfolio of relationships to identify opportunities for growth, strengthen customer retention, and connect customers with additional products and services that meet their needs
• Collects information directly from customers regarding income, assets, investments, and credit; analyzes information to develop customized plans identifying banking options and services that will best meet customers' financial needs and goals
• Identifies customer needs and goals for business, treasury management, mortgage, retirement and investment services, then collaborates closely with partners in those areas.
• Ensures understanding of and compliance with all Bank regulations, policies and procedures.
(15-25%) Collaboration Across Business Lines
• Serves as the primary relationship manager while coordinating the expertise of Digital Banking, Treasury Management, Business Banking, Ag Banking, Wealth, Insurance to deliver comprehensive financial solutions.
(5-10%) Community Leadership Expectations
• Participate in community organizations and events
• Builds and maintains strategic referral partnerships
• Represents Bravera as a trusted financial resource
• Develops relationships with key centers of influence including accountants, attorneys, real estate professionals, and business leaders
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provides leadership through coaching, mentoring and modeling successful relationship development practices for other banking team members
• Provides day-to-day training and support for other employees; may include providing guidance on credit-related issues, specific customer issues and queries, and assistance with operational processes.
• Performs sales and service support activities to meet customer needs and maintain overall service levels.
• Collaborates with peers and mentors junior team members to ensure delivery of superior customer service.
• Negotiates appropriate and profitable pricing using discretion where required to build a portfolio.
• Builds trust with customers through honest communication and excellent service.
• Must maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism regarding all employee and customer issues and information.
• Fully understand and adhere to current banking regulations, policies, and procedures related to digital banking compliance and overall safety and soundness.
• The employee will adhere to all banking rules and regulations, including but not limited to the requirements of the Bank Secrecy Act. In addition, the employee will be proactive in the prevention of illegal activities, will vigilantly look for activities that may constitute any type of fraud including money laundering, and will report any suspicious activity to the BSA Officer.
QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES):
• Proven success growing deposits and customer relationships
• Experience managing affluent and complex client relationships
• Success developing referral networks and generating new business
• Ability to independently source and close new business opportunities
• Ability to lead collaboration across business lines
• Ability to lead financial planning conversations that identify customer goals and recommend appropriate solutions
• Strong knowledge of treasury management and digital banking solutions
• Advanced knowledge of Private Wealth products and services
• Strong relationship management and customer engagement skills
• Experience:

• Education: Secondary education in Business, Finance, or a related field preferred
• 6+ years of customer service experience or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, education
• 4+ years of experience building and maintaining effective relationships with customers and partners
• 4+ years of experience recommending products and services
• Prefer 3-5 years Retail or Business Banking experience; 1-2 years digital banking experience; 1-2 years of business development experience or a combination of.
