Title: Registered Nurse - Infusion Location: Upper East Side Org Unit: Inflammatory Bowel Disease Program Work Days: Weekly Hours: 35.00 Exemption Status: Exempt Salary Range: $123,200.00 - $133,100.00 *As required under NYC Human Rights Law Int 1208-2018 - Salary range for this role when Hired for NYC Offices Position Summary Administer IV therapies including biologics, chemotherapy/biotherapy, antibiotics, blood products, and hydration. Job Responsibilities Perform pre-infusion assessments, verify orders, and ensure appropriate lab parameters are met Monitor patients throughout infusions and post-infusion for complications Initiate and maintain peripheral IV access Access and manage central lines, including PICC lines and implanted ports Educate patients and caregivers on: Infusion treatments and expected side effects; Signs/symptoms requiring urgent evaluation; Central line and port care/maintenance Reinforce adherence to therapy and follow-up care plans Participate in interdisciplinary care planning Education Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required. Experience Minimum 1–2 years of RN experience (infusion, oncology, or acute care preferred) Prior outpatient infusion, oncology, or specialty infusion experience Experience managing central lines and implanted ports Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to manage continuous and intermittent infusions with high attention to medication accuracy and safety Ability to recognize and rapidly respond to infusion-related reactions, including hypersensitivity and anaphylaxis Ability to initiate emergency interventions per protocol Ability to collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, and nursing staff to optimize care Ability to coordinate scheduling and sequencing of therapies to ensure efficiency and safety Demonstrated competency in IV insertion and vascular access Licenses and Certifications Current New York State RN license (or ability to obtain) BLS Certification (issued by the American Heart Association) Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) or ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification/Certified registered nurse infusion (preferred).
