About this role

Time period Starting immediately for a period of 6 months Tasks Analysis and processing of vehicle measurement data for data-driven modeling approaches Development and validation of surrogate models for thermal vehicle systems Supporting the development of innovative thermal management controllers Implementation and evaluation of machine learning algorithms in Python Conducting simulations as well as analyzing and visualizing the results Collaboration with experts in the fields of thermal management, control engineering, and AI Requirements Currently, purely voluntary internships cannot be offered Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a comparable field Basic knowledge of machine learning or data science Good programming skills in Python (e.g., NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-Learn, PyTorch) and in agentic software development Interest in reinforcement learning, AI, and data-driven models Independent and analytical approach to work Good command of English Application documents Complete resume Letter of motivation Certificate of enrollment Transcripts, especially current grade reports University or college guidelines specifying the minimum duration For non-EU citizens: Valid residence permit required Benefits Attractive remuneration 35-hour week with flexible working hours Paid vacation days Discounted lunch in the company restaurant Free parking Urban environment with good transport connections Individual support in the department Accompanying activities and student network Do you have any questions?
