About this role
1. Purpose of Position Builds and leads a delivery hub of multi-disciplinary technical experts delivering a gamut of technical services encompassing Risk & Safety (R&S) studies across market segments and BV SOA product lines. Responsible for all operations of the Risk & Safety team including Business development support, commercial & operational excellence, skill development, product & services innovation, to help secure market leadership for BV SOA TC portfolio. 2. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Operations Develop and execute a strategic business plan for the Risk & Safety (R&S) studies. Drive achievement of annual budgets and resource utilization metrics set out by the IND product line. Ensure compliance with ISO standards where applicable. Establish performance metrics, KPI’s and continuous improvement programs, oversee capacity planning and resource utilization. Technical Service Delivery for Risk & Safety activities Ensure daily management of the team activities to deliver services in accordance with the defined Contractual scope in a timely & efficient manner. Support with Technical Centre-related activities as and when required by the Management/ Manager. Lead and drive Strategic Growth initiatives for the Risk & Safety business through close engagement with key accounts & strategic clients of BV SOA. Collaborate with BV SOA Sales & Operations teams to support all Pre-Order & Post- Order activities. Lead the development & delivery of SOPs, workflows aligned with market needs, international standards and client requirements. Implement quality management systems and technical procedures Execute R&S studies in line with business needs. Recruit, onboard, mentor, coach technical & administrative staff. Establish competency frameworks and training programs for various R&S activities. Foster a culture of technical excellence, learning, knowledge sharing and compliance within the team. Ensure compliance (self and team) to the various administrative duties & BV HR policies. Client & Stakeholder Management Support Business development for R&S scope through customer engagements Build & nurture relationships with internal / external clients. Lead efforts to support winning large / strategic deals, key accounts growth, business development and tender proposals Address technical queries and resolve service issues Represent the Technical Centre on domain subjects at industry forums and conferences Actively gather client feedback and drive service improvements Compliance & Accreditation for TC Maintain & expand accreditations where applicable in coordination with PLs Prepare for and coordinate accreditation audits Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements across all sectors Implement corrective actions and manage non-conformities Stay current with evolving standards and regulatory changes that impact team operations Innovation & Technical Excellence Identify opportunities for development of new products to Risk & Safety services in coordination with management. Lead technical research and capability development Benchmark against industry best practices Mentor technical staff on complex technical challenges, new softwares and skill set. Stay well informed on industry changes & trends, competitor analysis & participate in external events directly involved with our prime markets. Lead Specific Projects as and when required by SOA Management 3. Roles & Responsibilities for HSSE and Quality HSSE - Responsible for compliances of all applicable statutory laws and regulations as well as Group HSSE policies and procedures etc. in relation to Health, security, safety and environment and workmen employment. Responsible for establishing, implementing, monitoring and reviewing the HSSE Management System (in line with ISO14001:2015 & ISO 45001 standards) within his/ her Region/Location/Team. Responsible to take reasonable care on health and safety of their own, colleagues and others working surroundings. Responsible to report promptly to immediate superior on any abnormalities and incidents found related to Health, Security, Safety and Environment Quality - To comply company Quality requirements e.g. policies, procedures, guidelines etc. and local legal requirements on Quality as applicable. Support to Customer Satisfaction and Operational Excellence. Setup smart (Specific Measurable, Achievable, Relevant & Time Bound) Quality Objectives for himself and for Team in Success factor as applicable in area of Operation . Responsible to report promptly to immediate superior and TIQ on any abnormalities and incidents found related to Quality. 4. Criteria for Performance Evaluation (KPIs) Sales – Risk & Safety Opportunity Pipeline, Sales Conversion & Hit Ratio Revenue: Organic growth & profitability targets as per Business Plan Quality: NC rates, client satisfaction scores, accreditation audit results Operational Efficiency: SLAs achievement rates, resource utilization. Team: Staff retention, training completion rates, competency assessments Innovation: New service launches, capability expansion, market share growth Compliance: Accreditation maintenance, zero critical NCs, regulatory adherence 5. Professional Qualification Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in Science/ Engineering, preferably in the Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical disciplines; Having a Master’s degree is added advantage. Qualification as TÜV Certified Functional Safety Engineer would be an added advantage. 6. Experience 20+ yrs of experience in the Risk & Safety services and/or HSE domain relevant to TIC business segments in Oil and Gas, Energy, Chemical, Process industry, Power & water, Infrastructure and General Industry. Hands-on working experience in performing various Risk & Safety studies (workshop and desktop based studies) using DNV PHAST & Safeti, Detect 3D, PHA Pro, etc. Demonstrated track record in leading and managing a team of 7+ engineers for a duration of 5 years as a minimum. 7.Technical Competencies Strong technical understanding of international standards & codes relevant to Risk and Safety studies. Strong communication skills with ability to interact effectively from base operators to senior management. 8.
