Hours of Work: Evening Shifts, starting from 5/6pm

This is a full-time role suited to someone who enjoys working as part of a busy team, takes pride in their work and is passionate about creating great guest experiences. You will be expected to contribute positively to the day-to-day running of the restaurant, supporting your colleagues and maintaining the high standards we are proud of.

Key Responsibilities
Guest Service
• Welcome and engage with all guests in a warm, friendly and professional manner.
• Provide attentive and personalised service, taking the time to understand and respond to each guest’s needs.
• Take and process orders accurately and efficiently.
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations on food and beverages where appropriate.
• Ensure guests receive a positive and enjoyable dining experience from arrival through to departure.
• Respond to guest requests and queries with care, professionalism and a can-do attitude.
• Proactively identify opportunities to enhance the guest experience.
Food & Beverage Service
• Prepare and maintain tables to the required Riverside Park Hotel standards.
• Deliver food and beverages promptly, professionally and accurately.
• Communicate effectively with the kitchen and wider Food & Beverage team to ensure smooth and timely service.
• Monitor tables throughout service and ensure guests receive everything they need.
• Support efficient table turnover while ensuring service remains welcoming and guest-focused.
• Assist with setting up and closing down the restaurant as required.
Teamwork & Communication
• Work closely with colleagues across the Food & Beverage and wider hotel teams.
• Support team members during busy periods and contribute to a positive working environment.
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with colleagues and managers.
• Be flexible and willing to assist in other areas of the department when required.
• Take ownership of your responsibilities and support the smooth running of the restaurant.
Upkeep & Cleanliness
• Maintain a clean, organised and welcoming restaurant and service area throughout each shift.
• Ensure tables, service areas and equipment are maintained to the required standards.
• Follow all cleaning, hygiene and food safety procedures.
• Take pride in maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for both guests and colleagues.
Cash Handling
• Process guest transactions accurately and responsibly.
• Follow all hotel procedures relating to cash handling, payments and billing.
• Maintain attention to detail and report any discrepancies to the relevant manager.
Compliance, Health & Safety
• Follow all hotel policies, procedures and standards at all times.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene and comply with all relevant food safety regulations.
• Follow health and safety procedures and report any hazards or concerns promptly.
• Ensure responsible service procedures are followed at all times.
• Protect guest and company information and maintain appropriate confidentiality
