This is a full-time on-site position
Summary
The SQA Engineer ensures that the Company’s software is of high quality by monitoring the entire development process. This role is responsible for designing and running tests; identifying and fixing bugs; communicating with the Company’s software developers and other stakeholders.
Essential Functions:
• Write and execute manual test procedures to verify product conformance
• Analyze test data and provide report of findings
• Prioritize and create execution plans for test scenarios
• Write detailed test plans, test procedures, and test cases
• Review software requirements and software designs and provide relevant feedback
• Create detailed defect descriptions in the defect tracking system
• Work directly with Software Developers to drive quality code development
• Participate in daily standup calls with assigned project team(s)
• Testing must follow LLT’s and applicable policies and procedures
• Manage project timelines, resources, and detailed documentation
• Other tasks as assigned
Competencies
• Hands-on experience with manual and/or automated test of hardware/firmware systems
• Experience with embedded systems and microcontroller architectures
• 2+ years of experience running functional smoke, regression, integration, and system end to end tests, especially of hardware/firmware systems
• Experience creating and maintaining test plans and test cases, and reporting test results
• Knowledge of API testing, web services, Postman
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle and proven product testing experience
• Familiarity with version control, defect tracking, and test management tools (Bitbucket, JIRA, etc.)
• Experience in programming languages for automation scripting such as Python (preferred), MATLAB (preferred), Java, C#, JavaScript
• Experienced problem solver with excellent organizational skills and superior verbal and written communication skills
Required Education and Experience
• Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years’ experience, or a Master's degree preferred, in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, or related degree preferred.
• 2+ years of experience running smoke, integration, and regression tests
Travel
• Up to 25% travel to support customers at their location is required.
• Class C Drivers License preferred
• Valid American passport is a travel requirement for this role

$70,000 - $111,000 or commensurate with experience
