Job Summary
The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining our buildings, grounds, and service locations. This hands-on position performs preventative maintenance, general handyman repairs, yard work, and facility upkeep while also traveling to other locations to complete service and repair work. Overnight travel may be required to complete work at other facilities.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
• Provides facility maintenance and improvements
• Must keep detailed daily records of each preventative maintenance
• Responds to assigned general maintenance repair requests and troubleshoots problems.
• Performs routine and emergency repairs including correcting minor electrical malfunctions, repairing basic plumbing fixtures, pipes, and fittings, repairing, and replacing light fixtures, repairing doors and locks, changing filters, belts, and hoses, etc.
• Performs repairs to facilities infrastructure and industrial tools and equipment.
• Inspects facilities mechanical and structural components; ensures operational readiness and safety of related equipment and determines required repairs.
• Assists in maintaining adequate supplies, materials, and equipment in assigned areas of each site.
• Must be able to operate tools, power tools, and equipment of the trade where assigned.
• Assist with coordinated with departmental, equipment and employee moves.
• Manages all landscaping on facility grounds (mowing, weed eating, edging, blowing, trimming, etc.)
• Perform other maintenance & administrative duties as assigned by manager.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Must have a valid TX drivers license
