Job Title: Elementary School Instructional Aide Supervisory: No Exempt/Non-exempt: Non-exempt Pay Type: Hourly
Compensation: Pay: $18/hr
General Purpose: As an Elementary School Instructional Aide at Colorado International Language Academy, your primary responsibility is to assist classroom teachers in implementing the curriculum and providing support to students.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist Teachers: Support faculty members in implementing the curriculum and completing logistical and administrative tasks.
• Student Support: Work in small groups or one-on-one with students who require academic, behavioral, or social-emotional intervention.
• Exceptional Student Services (ESS) and Multi-tiered System of Supports (MTSS): Collaborate with ESS and MTSS teams to implement student plans (IEPs, 504s, MTSS and READ plans, etc.).
• Academic and Behavior Plans: Assist faculty in implementing academic and behavior plans for students.
• Monitoring Duties: Fulfill regular monitoring duties during lunch, recess, and other activities to ensure student safety and adherence to school rules.
• Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by school administration.
Minimum Requirements:
• Education: High school diploma required; Associate’s Degree or higher from an accredited college or university preferred.

• Commitment to working with a diverse student population and closing the achievement gap.
Physical Demands:
• Position requires physical mobility to perform essential functions of the job.
• Job involves various physical activities including standing, walking, lifting, bending, and being on feet for extended periods.
• Ability to exert up to 40 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently.
• Ability to endure working with elementary school children for long periods.
